AI is teaching me Spanish!
Christmas came early…in the form of an incredible AI tool
I’ve been learning Spanish on-and-off for the past four years.
And…my Spanish still sucks.
Mostly because I don’t practice. My fault entirely. But I’m so unsocial that I rarely talk to my English-speaking friends, let alone go out and find new Spanish-speaking friends!
As it turns out though, I’m great at talking to AI.
A few days ago I was testing out OpenAI’s new model ChatGPT…and I had a thought. Could I talk to AI in Spanish?
I gave it a shot, and it turned out better than I ever imagined. ChatGPT is much better at Spanish than I am!
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a new AI model that OpenAI released at the end of November. As you would expect from a GPT-3 model, ChatGPT generates text based on a prompt. But it’s better than any of the other generative AI tools based on GPT-3. Unlike all of the AI writing tools on the market, ChatGPT literally works in a chat format, and is able to hold full conversations.
